Ulzaan

Lord Strategos of the Ravenblood Pact, a living wall of discipline who embodies the Pact’s ideals even as they decay.

Alistair

A hermit astrologer who resides in a black tower, viewing the stars from his observatory and who may hold deeper truths.

Ravenblood Review

This is a tale of burden, legacy, and how life shapes us. Ravenblood: Shadows in the Stone has all the right fantasy ingredients: magic, adventure, struggle, and a rich setting. But the standout is its cast—Leonard, Saran, and Darum are deep, compelling, and driven by distinct motives. If you love dark, brooding characters, this trio will hook you fast. Leonard and Darum’s arcs explore their lifelong burdens, while Saran—though less explored—is the most lovable. The moody atmosphere, cold forests, and immersive writing pull you in early. While emotional connection dips later on, the start is strong. A great, gripping fantasy that deserves more attention.

Ravenblood Review

I really enjoyed this book! The characters, world-building, and plot pulled me in right away. The MC goes on a journey of truth with a wise mentor and loyal friend, forming a found family bond that’s truly special. Hoping for a friends-to-lovers twist in book two! Though short in length, every sentence hits hard. The story jumps right in, with vivid writing full of detail—drift for a second, and you’ll want to reread. No fluff, no filler; every scene counts. That makes for a tight and meaningful narrative, though it’s not a breezy read. Overall, I loved it and can’t wait for book two. The author says this is part one of a duology, and I’m already eager for the finale.
